Stage 1 | Touring the Khao Yai National Park âš‘ 52km / 32miles flat

We leave Bangkok in a comfortable VIP Van in a north-eastern direction. After 2 hours we will reach Nakhon Nayok, the starting point of our first stage. Nakhon Nayok is located at the border of Khao Yai National Park, which has been awarded the UNESCO World Culture Heritage Status as a unique nature reserve. After we have sorted and fitted our bikes, we are pedaling the area.

Day 3

Stage 2 | Nakhon Nayok — Prachinburi ⚑ 103 km / 64 miles flat

The primarily agricultural province of Prachin Buri is located along the Cambodian border to the east of Bangkok. As an area that has been occupied for roughly 800 years, the region contains many ruins from the Dvaravati and Khmer kingdoms. Much of the remainder of Prachin Buri province is occupied by rice fields.

Day 4

Stage 3 | Prachinburi — Wang Nam Yen ⚑ 110 km / 68 miles mostly flat

The road leads us through a landscape with agricultural products, including rice, cassava, maize, sugarcane, soybean, cotton, mung beans. Wang Nam Yen is a small town in Sakeo Province. The distance from here to the Cambodian Border is about 18 km.

Day 5

Stage 4 | Wang Nam Yen — Pong Nam Ron ⚑ 78 km / 48 miles flat, slightly undulating

We cycle parallel to the Cambodian border towards the province of Chanthaburi in the direction of the Gulf of Thailand. This province is one of the most fertile regions of Thailand. Huge tapioca and sugarcane fields cover the landscape. Bizarre limestone formations stick out of the ground. We stay overnight close to Kitchakut National Park which is located in the Soi Doi mountains.

Day 6 | By ferry to Koh Chang Island

Stage 5 | Pong Nam Ron — Koh Chang Island ⚑ 123 km / 76 miles flat & undulating

Chanthaburi's province climate makes it an ideal place to grow tropical fruits - rambutans, durians, mangosteens, and pineapples all in abundance. We ride quite a distance enjoying the colourful flora and fauna of the region. Gradually, our noses catch the salty odor of the nearby Gulf of Thailand. At Laem Ngop we board the ferry to travel to Koh Chang. Here, we spend the next two nights at a superb beach resort.

B | L

Day 7 | Rest day on Koh Chang Island

Spend the day enjoying the white sandy beach and swimming in the warm tropical sea. Koh Chang is Thailand’s 2nd biggest island right after Phuket island, but has kept its natural beauty and simplicity. The majority of the island is covered by untouched rainforest. 85 percent of the island is part of the protected Mu Ko Chang National Park.

B

Day 8 | Chaloem Burapha Chonlathit – The longest coast road in Thailand

Stage 6 | Koh Chang — Chao Lao Beach ⚑ 98 km / 61 miles flat

We enjoy the fresh morning breeze on the ferry as we cross back to the mainland to start our journey. Later on, we ride on rural road 4036. Chaloem Burapha road is popular for sightseeing and is used as a backdrop in some movies or advertisements. We spend the evening at Chao Lao Beach, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere by the sea.

B | L

Day 9 | Optional excursion to Koh Samet Island

Stage 7 | Chao Lao Beach — Mae Ramphueng Beach ⚑ 97 km / 60 miles flat

Shortly after the start, the best views in Chanthaburi are found at the Noen Nang Phaya Viewpoint. Chalerm Burapa Chollathit Road 4036 runs alongside or close to the coast for some 50 kilometers and is ideal for cruising by bicycle. Leaving road 4036 we follow the stunning coastline all the way down to Mae Ramphueng Beach. Take a rest on the beach, visit Rayong Aquarium or book a boat trip to nearby Koh Samet Island.

B | L

Day 10 | Last stage and farewell dinner

Stage 8 | Mae Ramphueng Beach — Bang Saray Beach ⚑ 93 km / 58 miles undulatin

On picturesque roads, we ride around Rayong City. We pass Ramayana Waterpark and reach our hotel at Bang Saray Beach, where a refreshing welcome drink will be waiting for you. This beach is among the most pleasant stretches of sand in the Pattaya area, as well as being a very small, quaint town with a very local atmosphere. The sand of Bang Saray Beach is some of the finest you will find on Thailand’s eastern seaboard. We enjoy our farewell dinner together at this cozy place.
